Abstract

Ayurveda's development, validity, and advancement depend on research. Even
though the word "research" is frequently employed in contemporary Ayurvedic academic
literature, there are a number of expressions in ancient Ayurvedic thought that refer to
various facets of methodical investigation, analysis and interpretation. Anveshana,
Gaveshana, Prayeshana, Samsodhana, Shodha and Anusandhana are significant terms.
Because research sometimes entails examining cause and effect linkages, the idea of Karya-
Karanabhava also constitutes a significant analytical component. This article explores these
ideas and emphasizes Siddhanta and Prabhashaniya as significant supplementary research
dimensions. Siddhanta is a conclusion or well established principle that has been reached
via methodical investigation employing suitable techniques, logic and supporting data.
Incorporating Siddhanta and Prabhashaniya broadens the conceptual understanding of
Ayurvedic research and establishes a significant link between traditional Ayurvedic
knowledge systems and modern research methodology.
