This study explores the evolving role of hotel housekeeping within the hospitality industry,
emphasizing its dual function as both an operational necessity and a medium for cultural
representation. Housekeeping is traditionally associated with cleanliness and maintenance, but it
also plays a critical role in shaping guest experiences through culturally sensitive practices. The
integration of cultural awareness into housekeeping—such as accommodating dietary
restrictions, respecting room arrangement preferences, and understanding social norms—
enhances inclusivity and strengthens a hotel’s global reputation. This paper focuses on selected
hotels in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines, aiming to examine how culturally informed
housekeeping practices influence guest perceptions and the overall quality of hospitality services.
