COMPARATIVE OVERVIEW OF TRADITIONAL AND EMERGING PULPOTOMY AGENTS IN PRIMARY TEETH

Abstract

Pulpotomy procedure involves amputation of coronal pulp tissue and saving the radicular
pulp as the pulp exposure is minimal and thus the pulp will heal itself. This literature review
includes variety of medicaments that are available for pulpotomy procedure. To make a
choice of medicament according to the patient’s need is very comprehensive task therefore,
it is imperative that the clinician using these therapeutic procedures has the necessary
knowledge about the technique and the type of medicaments used.
