This article presents the results of experiments on the use of electrochemically activated water
with alkaline (pH = 9.5–10.5) and acidic (pH = 3.0–3.5) media in biolaboratories for the breeding of eggs
of the grain moth (Sitotroga cerealella Oliv.) and for the disinfection of production facilities, as well as
the economic efficiency indicators of the new method.
In this regard, we obtained positive results by conducting a series of studies from 2016 to
the present on the use of electrochemically activated water instead of conventional tap water to
normalize grain moisture, improve the nutritional value of grain, and sanitize biolaboratory
premises from harmful microorganisms during the reproduction stage of grain moth eggs (Sitotroga
cerealella Oliv.) [5,6,7,8,9].
The study was carried out in the research laboratory of the Department of Chemical
Engineering at Namangan State Technical University (formerly Namangan Institute of Engineering
and Construction), in the central laboratories “Water Analysis” and the Namangan Regional Center
for Sanitary Epidemiology and Public Health “Suvokava” (mutual cooperation agreement No.
2/2021), as well as at “Bioservice” LLC in Namangan.
